Building software at InterWorks, platform engineer, Linux enthusiast, movie and TV addict, husband, father and follower of Jesus Christ.
InterWorks
Since 2019 I've been one of four developers on an internal .NET application that runs our company. C# backends, React frontends, and 60+ features ranging from employee time tracking and benefits to executive dashboards and forecasting to custom scheduling software.
Beyond the core app work, I admin several platforms our company uses every day; Salesforce, n8n server, Docker server, and Slackbots to name a few.
Lately I've been juggling two big projects: rebuilding the frontend of our in-house scheduling tool using React and Mantine components instead of Razor views and migrating the whole app from .NET Framework 4 to .NET 8. All with the help of AI tools, of course.
For the last year or so, our team has, like many others around the world, been enamored with everything AI, and have been following the developments of tools like Claude Code and OpenCode. Our standup meetings are regularly derailed by discussions about the latest zeitgeist in AI-assisted development, show and tells, and experiments. It's a really good time to be a developer.
Setup
Currently running Omarchy (arch btw) on a Framework Desktop Max+ 395 with 64GB RAM. It is very sick and very tight.
Education
I got my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Management Information Systems) from Oklahoma State University in 2019.
While at OSU, I worked in the Henry Bellmon Research Center as an iOS and Android developer building apps for students and faculty as a part of the Office of the Vice President for Research. Before that, I was an Apple Genius at the OSU Apple Store.
In 2018, my friend Mason and I won first place in the OSU App Center's From Research to App Competition with the Fire Dynamics Calculator, a mobile tool to aid fire investigations.
Family
My wife and I married when we were just kids in college. Together we have one daughter. We love her.
Jesus
I'm a follower of Jesus Christ and a member of an Anglican church affiliated with Churches for the Sake of Others (C4SO). I believe the Christian Scriptures and the essential orthodox Christian beliefs found in the Apostles Creed and the Nicene Creed.
